All lights on/off
« on: July 17, 2018, 02:15:51 pm »
Hi all, it was a long story anyone tried to send a command all lights on / off in Vera. Standard scene runs rather long if you have a number of devices. Same time many remotes can execute this type of command very fast.

It took me a while to browse through out the forums, luup wiki, etc. Finally I got the way working for me, this is described in wiki page http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_Requests#actions as turn off all lights.

The command works as http request sending commands to a virtual category 999 (lights and dimmers) but can be also sent in the scene luup code part: luup.inet.wget("http://localhost:3480/data_request?id=action&output_format=xml&Category=999&serviceId=urn:upnp-org:serviceId:SwitchPower1&action=SetTarget&newTargetValue=0",1).

For the all lights on the command looks like this: luup.inet.wget("http://localhost:3480/data_request?id=action&output_format=xml&Category=999&serviceId=urn:upnp-org:serviceId:SwitchPower1&action=SetTarget&newTargetValue=1",1).

Does anyone know how to send this command in luup.call_action format to avoid extra route via ip stack?

BTW some old Fibaro switches to accept this type of command should have subcategory 3 in advances settings, just change old 0 to 3 and reload the engine and you are done.

Hello,

I emailed you some info related to this question.

Regards,

@Maegda, I have a suggestion. I've seen you email similar responses to several questions recently. It would be more useful to the community if you would post answers in the thread. Otherwise, the forum becomes clogged with what are effectively unanswered questions. These forums have become quite a library of knowledge because people, including your predecessors at Vera, have contributed that information to it. Future users with the same question may quickly find their answer, if it's there to find.

Hello rigpapa,

Thank you, will do it.  ::)

Thus there is another wiki page that can be useful

http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_Scenes_Events

And, I this should work

luup.inet.request("VERAIP/port_3480/data_requestid=lu_action&Category=999&serviceId=urn:upnporg:serviceId:SwitchPower1&action=SetTarget&newTargetValue=0")

Thank you!
