« on: April 03, 2012, 03:26:48 am »
After many failure times trying to install UI5 on my vera2 i have decided to go back to UI4.
but till now i couldn't figure what i have done wrong

what i have done exactly:
- the systems found my vera and i have choosen the UI5
- after like 30 mins (to be sure that i has finished)
- unplug and re plug my vera2
- try to access it but i cant "Page not found"
- Although i am able to PING it and can find it on my IP scanner tool

If you connect a laptop directly to the unit and go to 192.168.81.1 what happens?

Assuming you also set your Laptop to a 192.168.81.x and mask to 255.255.255.0 router to 192.168.81.1?

After 3 days of trying to work with UI5, I decided UI4 better suits my needs - UI5 is still very buggy as an upgrade from UI4 (Vera 2). Hopefully, it work better with Vera 3 but response times very terrible after upgrading, needing to reboot several times in a session because the screens would freeze up and Vera becomes unresponsive. Cameras do not work and a whole lot of other things. I tried but I like UI4 so much better....

I can confirm that ui5 on Vera 2 is not production ready. Crashes every day. I'm going to have to downgrade also. Reading this thread doesn't encourage me that it will be simple.

Does URL for UI4 firmware?

EDIT:  Factory reset + restore from local backup file at the desired version.

EDIT 2: Hmmmm... nope, still on UI5.  Thread with instructions anyone?

EDIT 3: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,6878.0.html   8)  Another good Vera 2 page http://wiki.mios.com/index.php/Firmware_Flash_Vera2
