Aeotec Multi-sensor 6
« on: December 15, 2018, 06:02:28 pm »
I am currently using the Vera Plus and have a Aeotec Multi-sensor 6 in my garage to trip my garage lights when motion is detected.  I am trying to change the multi-sensor so that it will detect motion more often.  Right now it seems to trigger motion and then wait 5 mins before it will send another trigger that motion was detected.  I read in other topics that this can be changed to a minimum of 10 seconds but I am not sure how to do it.  Please help.

I had lots of issues with Aeotec.  The Delay was really bad.  I was not able to fix this even with settings update.  I ended up going with new sensors.

For me, these work great(Got 4 of them).  They trigger my garage lights in less then 1 second, before I even enter the garage.  I tried for every to get Aeotec and others to work, but for me, delay of 2+ seconds is not accepable.  I first thougt it was Vera issue, but after lots of testing and this new one, it really is the sensor that cased my delays.

Kyle,

Using the NEO motion sensor with Vera Plus, are you able to adjust the reset time through the Vera App?  So if I turn the garage lights off manually and go inside then turn around 5 seconds later to go back in the garage motion will be detected triggering my garage lights to turn back on.

Thanks for your help.
Greg

Yes it can, I have not done it but it is in the manual.

Per Manual
2. On/Off Duration
This parameter can be determined how long the associated devices should stay ON
status. For instance, this parameter is set to 30(second), the PIR detector will send a
BASIC SET Command to an associated device with value basic set level if PIR
detector is triggered and the associated device will be turned on 30(second) before it
is turned off. This Parameter value must be large than Parameter 6#.
Function: On/Off Duration Setting
Parameter Number: 2
Parameter Size: 2 Byte
Available Settings: 5 - 600(second)
Default Setting: 30
