Well you could plug a Z-Wave appliance switch into one of the protected outlets of the UPS and then run your equipment through that-- accomplishes your goal...

I vaguely recall MCV saying it hadn't come to market when they anticpated (by the vendor - it was not an MVC product) and that they were looking at having it made.

It would be cool to combine the Kill A Watt power meter strip with the ASIHome strip listed above...

So whatever happened to the smart power stip? Has it been released yet? I noticed Bulogics makes one but can't find it anywhere for purchase. Also Aeotec appears to be releasing theirs. Anybody know where I can find one for purchase?

Thanks.

@kawidude,

Welcome!

Users in Europe (/Netherlands) have been playing with the GreenWave PowerNode. I'm not aware of anything in North America (although the pic on the GreenWave site shows a UK and US version also).

The Aeon website has one listed as coming soon... although that could mean a year knowing Aeon :)

There is also the Digital Loggers one if somebody is happy to Use Ethernet to switch it on and off:

@strangley your are the optimist... Only one year.

If you are looking at this, maybe have a look at the work @garretwp is doing with Digital Loggers power strip see:
