Great thread guys. Got my 9821 working just enough for now over powerline ethernet in tandem with my older foscams. I too made the mistake of an leading space on the implementation file! Now for the outdoor cam....

Some people were asking for the ability to turn off the camera motion control according to whether the house was armed or not.  The issue was that the camera was continuing to email pictures when the house was disarmed within Vera but camera was configured to send images.

After a bit of research I worked out the following LUUP code added to a scene will activate/deactivate the cameras motion detection.

Deactivate motion control
luup.inet.wget( 'http://x.x.x.x:xx/set_alarm.cgi?motion_armed=0&user=xxx&pwd=xxx')

Activate motion control
luup.inet.wget( 'http://x.x.x.X:xx/set_alarm.cgi?motion_armed=1&user=xxx&pwd=xxx')

After a bit of research I worked out the following LUUP code added to a scene will activate/deactivate the cameras motion detection.

FYI. This can also be accomplished without LUUP code through the Advanced tab of a Scene.

From the Advanced Tab, Select the appropriate Motion Sensor device from the list of available devices and click Add.

Select the SetArmed variable from the available drop down list, and provide a value (0=disarmed, 1=armed).

The request was to switch off the motion detection of the Foscam camera itself, this cannot be done as far as I know via the advanced tab

I found that the advanced tab didn't actually turn off the cameras motion detection on my system.  This method was reliable for me anyway.

My apologies. It appears I was all in the Kool-aid but didn't know the flavor.  ;)

I have 3 Foscams (8910 and 8909) integrated and they work well. I'd like to get motion detection recognized by Vera. Reading the thread, there should be a ConfigureMD variable in the advanced tab of the camera that needs to be set to 0 in order to enable motion detection. I see no such variable in the list -- should I just add it myself?

Thx

In the Foscam app in my vera lite the variable is State, and I believe setting it to 2 enables the motion sensor.

Thanks! Now sometimes I see pic, but new problems :))

I had the same problem
/videostream.cgi?Resolution=640x480?user=user&pwd=password

I changed the "?" in a "&" and the problem was solved.

I'm using the I_FoscamPTZ to control PTZ my generic camera.

But MoveDown, Zoom In and Zoom out button don`t work.

I`d like to edit this file to fix this. But I don`t have idea what I need to do.

Can anyone help me with it? Thanks in advance!

Hi Beerguy

I changed the state value and it worked (but changed it back to 1). It appears no sensor (-1) and sensor (1).

   Thanks
