zigbee with control4
« on: November 02, 2018, 08:46:17 pm »
I have a C4 system which I believe uses zigbee.  I would like to add a Vera hub with some motion detectors and switched outlets.  I am thinking staying with zigbee would provide the Vera connected components a mesh to work in.  Is this a correct assumption?

Hello,

The zigbee devices which are already on a mesh network ( paired with a controller ) can not extend the signal for another mesh network ( the devices which will be paired with Vera ). If you want for your devices which are integrated on Control 4 to extend the signal for the ones on Vera, you need to take them out from C4 and paired them with our controller.

Keep in mind that we recommend our customers to check our compatibility list to see which devices are fully integrated with our gateways ( doesn't matter on which protocol they are running ) :

Also our systems ( Vera Plus and Vera Secure) are compatible with the Zigbee Home Automation communication protocol and at the moment supports devices which are working with version 1.2.

Thank you and Have a nice day,
