After installing the upgrade I now regularly get a popup error that a script is taking too long to complete with the following pointer:

Script: http://192.168.1.10/cmh/js/common/jquery-1.6.js?*1.5.408-1-29035329*:5965

The verbatim on Firefox is: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this?

Thanks!

Tom

Hi Tom,

How many devices and scenes do you have? Also, does this happen every time you open the UI?

Currently 59 devices. It was doing it when there were 34 devices (a few days ago before the rest of the devices were added). Only four scenes right now.

It happens about 60-70% of the time.

This shouldn't happen with 60 devices and 4 scenes. Please enable Tech Support and send me a PM with the access codes.

I used to get this all the time using IE, but it can be brought on by using a tablet.
This issue is somewhat browser / device dependent.

@mcvflorin, is there any way to have the GUI load quicker?
I'm sorry, my responses are limited. You must ask the right questions.

You can use a browser with a fast Javascript engine, like Firefox or Chrome, but the speed increase isn't that big.

@mcvflorin,
Nothing that can be done on the MIOS / FW side?
Would making the GUI devices smaller lesson the load?

In my case it happens on all browsers. Firefox gives the most usable error information though.

This requires some pretty big changes to the way the UI loads the user_data. It would have to load the data on demand, and not all at once. Also, there are further optimizations that can be made, but they all take time.

No, that doesn't affect speed at all.

I tried Chrome (typically use Safari) and I'm getting the unresponsive script error that I do not get with IE or Safari.

You get that message in Firefox too, but there you have the option to disable the message. I don't know about Chrome, as I rarely use it. I quite like that you're given the option to stop a script for running; it's a better alternative to forcefully closing the browser.

No, after 30 seconds or so...Firefox becomes unresponsive. 20+ minutes in...its hung for sure.
I'll stick to Safari for now, even though it takes ~5minutes "Loading"
