« on: August 13, 2012, 07:28:05 am »
Hello

Aeon Labs sell a new keyfob with 1 or 4 buttons http://aeotec.com/z-wave-key-fob-remote-control
Does Vera with UI5 works with this keyfob ?
VeraLite, RFXCOM Lan, IPX800

It says "Coming soon from Aeotec. Subscribe to Aeotec’s newsletter to find out when." on the website?

Interesting! Found it at the website you mentioned; including the manual. (They make a Panic Button too, apparently).

IF this device is simpler in implementation than the MiniMote, I can see how it might work out-of-the-box. With the MiniMote new firmware (for the device) was required, and it has this feature where the buttons can be reconfigured to do different things, so Vera needed to be MiniMote-aware to configure it properly.

Potentially, the Keyfob only emits scene activation commands, and therefore may work without further support.

Just a guess; would be nice for sure if someone with the actual device could report here.

There is no news on a future version of the firmware and what it will include. MCV has been pretty busy with other obligations and they stated that the 1.5.408 firmware will be the last firmware released during the summer.

I have 4 keyfob like this.

They working like a charm.

Manual, is really a pity, but they works.

I use them to rise light outside, and "say" I'm outside / inside to switch off all lights and keep heather (not yet, this is summer) to "low power mode" if everybody is out.
