Good news everyone, ... they recently announced an upgrade to Vera's UI5 that will fix the duplicate 2gig CT100 issue (UI5: v1.5.532 - November 20, 2012). Unfortunately its only in private beta right now, but we should get the release in the next few weeks.
You can find the info about this fix on the Release Notes for UI5 v1.5.532 about two thirds of the way down the list of Linux Scripts included in that version on the following page:
-- This forum won't let me post the URL, so just go to "wiki dot micasaverde dot com" and search for "Release Notes"
The fix is listed as "Remove duplicate 2-Gig CT100 entry"
IMPORTANT NEW DEVELOPMENT: Firmware v1.5.622 was finally released. After installing it, I was perplexed that it didn't fix the issue (with the three duplicate thermostat entries). I found a lot of people on the forum saying to contact Support and they would fix it, however I wanted a real solution. I FOUND IT!!! Here it is:
FINAL SOLUTION: If you haven't installed Firmware v1.5.622 (or higher) yet, do that first (go to Setup > Firmware from the menu). Then after its installed, install the "MiOS Update Utility" plugin. To do that, login to your VeraLite or Vera3 and go to the Apps > Install Apps from the main menu. On that page, enter "MiOS Update Utility" in the search box at the top of the list and click the Show button. Finally, click the Install button next to the "MiOS Update Utility" app. Once its finished installing, click the Reload button in the top right of the page. That it!!! Problem solved. Only one thermostat listed instead of three!

This is me super happy!!!!!
