Initial setup of GC-100
« on: September 11, 2012, 04:37:41 pm »
Hi,

I'm running Vera 2 and UI4 (still) and just installed a GC-100 to control some audio equipment. I installed the GC-100 plugin from the marketplace and defined a room location. The GC-100 now has 4 devices in the room: a Multi-IO and 3 GC-100 Relay devices. In the Advanced tab of each, I set the IP address of the GC-100 (obtained by using the iHelp utility downloaded from their site).

When I click on the "on" or "off" button of a GC-100 relay device in the MCV dashboard, I can see the network LED on the GC-100 flash, however nothing happens. The GC100 device status in the dashboard does not change, and the device attached to the GC-100 (Xantech AC-1) does not control the device plugged in.

After installing the plugin and setting the IP address - is there something else that I need to do in order to get the GC-100 working?

Also, the GC100 Relay device in the MCV dashboard seems to have been configured as a Binary Light (D_BinaryLight) device in the Advanced tab for the relay. Is this correct?

Any help appreciated in order to get going with the GC-100.

Thanks,

Bob

Point your browser to the gc-100's IP address, then go to the IR/Sensor tab, what do you have them set as?
Mine are all set as: GC-BL2 IR Blaster

I have both IR/sensor tabs (since I have a GC-100-12) and all connectors set to IR Out.
I'm not at the point of doing IR yet, just trying to get MCV to talk to GC-100 relays.
