Kudos to Additude for clear instructions and a fix that worked well for me with u17.  I'm now less of a luup virgin. 😃

Thanks attitude for the code! :D

Got it running but I am using it to check on a Schlage Deabolt (BE469NX).

I have Schlage Deadbolt device number in the luup code and can see the deadbolt id in the "variables" of the Battery Monitor but I do not see the Schleage Deadbolt when viewing the summery.

Any ideas?

I just installed Battery Monitor to give me a quick overview of my batteries. But I am keeping my scenes that send me an alert if a battery falls below 10%, to give me time to order a battery and replace it as I get time.

Hi

With the most recent UI7 firmware update (2 Feb 17) I seem to have lost any assessment of battery level. Also, I get a list of all devices, whether they're on batteries or not.

Update file names:
I_BatteryMonitor.xml
J_BatteryMonitor_UI7.js
J_BatteryMonitor.js

But in the Battery Plugin App still in the Params:
device_file - D_BatteryMonitor.xml
impl_file - I_BatteryMonitor.xml
device_json - D_BatteryMonitor_UI7.json

device_type - urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:BatteryMonitor:1

I think something is off.

Hi VallejoIII

Thanks for your help. The file names match what I have for the plugin. I updated the plugin but that didn't seem to make any difference.  Any ideas?

Anyone else having problems with not all battery units being detected? Is there now a better way of doing this with UI7?

I have a scene that triggers an Alert when a device battery is less than 5%. Veramate also has an icon that displays when a device has low battery.
