Just to be clear, is this accurate:
- Freshly including the 45601 with .1245/3.20 works; remote can trigger scenes, etc.
- Freshly including the Trane with .1245/3.20 works; t-stat can be controlled through Vera.
=> Adding the Trane to the t-stat button on the 45601 does not work, even though that worked before.

(Freshly meaning the device was first excluded.)

Yes, except I haven't enabled scene control from my 45601, just devices at this time, but I'll eventually try that.

Yes for me also - and I'll take it one step further:

Pre 3.2 (that would be 2.7 I think) everything worked, including the GE Remote and thermostat button.  Even after I upgraded to the lastest firmware .1245 and 3.2 everything continued to work (again this was an upgrade - I did not have to install all the devices again when I went to 3.2).  I worked like this for weeks.
Then I had a big issue of my own doing and lost everything earlier this week.  I rebuilt everything, starting at .1245 and 3.2.  Added all of my devices new and everything is now working great, including scenes and such in the GE remote, but it will not peer with the Trane Thermostat.
The only real difference is the 3.2 change - could that have something to do with it versus the likely older GE remote?
I won't have time for another week or so and I only have 1 Vera so it might take me some time to test but I'm thinking about going backwards to test this.

Yep; no go no more.

The t-stat includes ok, and re-including a Leviton remote or a ThinkStick will correctly show it as a t-stat and it can be controlled fine.

In fact, you can still assign the t-stat to one of the keys on the GE and switch between ESM and Run/Hold, but assigning the t-stat part to the t-stat button does not work anymore. Not sure why.

Adding the remote does end with Fail on the remote side; although things (but not the t-stat) seem to work thereafter.

It is a very odd thing.  I know I could add some of the functions with Vera but what I liked most was being able to see the temp on the LCD GE Remote screen.  I had brought a second to remotely control temp upstairs from my office.  Guess I'll need to look at something else, but when this worked - it was simple and great.

Understood. I'll open a ticket.

I also ran into the same situation. Had to rebuild the network for another control to work (45631) and the thermostats will not pair with the remotes anymore. I opened a ticket on this but the reply was contact GE. This is not a GE/Jasco issue as it work fine before upgrading and reconstructing my network.

I'm also having this issue.  The ability to remotely control my thermostat set-points is my key requirement for Vera.  I used to have alarm.com as the primary controller, Vera as a secondary, and 2 45601's as secondaries.  Everything was working beautifully.   I upgraded to the new firmware, and made Vera the primary.  Now my 45601's can no longer be associated with the thermostat.  Please provide an update on this issue

Just tried with Vera 2 on 1.1.1245 and Z-Wave 2.78: works. Change to 3.20: doesn't work.

Any update?   I rebuilt my z-wave network and upgraded my zwave to 3.2.   (forgot why i was on 2.78).    Now my thermostat's don't pair with my remotes again.

My network was working fine on 2.78?   Is there any advantage to 3.2?   Are you planning a fix for this issue, or should i downgrade zwave firmware again?

I'm not aware of any update from MCV's side (i.e. I don't know if this can even be fixed/worked around on Vera's side).

It's my impression that 3.20 offers more Z-Wave network management and routing features; e.g. the possibility of manual routing. If you have a stable network and a few tens of nodes, 2.78 may just be fine, given your need for the t-stat control and the fact that your network ran fine on 2.78?

Did you keep backups of Vera running 2.78? (I wouldn't just un-check the 3.20 option.)
