Thats not as ridiculous as it sounds, a $100 android tablet with app is far cheaper than getting a purpose built wall controller. There also quite a few all mounts available too...

Just bought the Acer Iconia B1 for 125 euro. It has Android 4.1 and also the real app store.

I'm gonna use this tablet for touch control in my house, so now just lets see how this tread will progress

I also purchased an inexpensive Android tablet, 7" with Jelly Bean to wall mount. I am going to make a custom surround and run hidden power to it... BUT it would be nice to have a pretty dashboard... just can't find one any better than Automation HD. I hope one becomes available...

I have installed it but not tried it out on the tablet just yet. Hoping to find something like this from the Mios hopepage:

You wont be able to as most of this is custom done for the OEM's / Very large clients that MCV has deals with. You can look into myvera:

http://sbdomotique.wordpress.com/category/myvera/

Requires to install either on Vera or on a web server. That or stick with the options currently available for Android.

i bought a Q88 based 4" with android on it .. running imperihome ...
which is the best app avaiable ATM ...

its not 100% in-wall tablet style, but does the job for now.

i working on it to get a local served website running for more options.

total cost 45USD ... kinda neat ;)
