Custom GUI
« on: November 15, 2008, 06:29:37 pm »
I like the green colours and such Vera uses. But,  I also like the look of industrial brushed steel with blues and blacks.
What is involved to make a custom GUI with my own style buttons/backgrounds and themes?
 How easy it it?
Vera offers custom branding, how far does this customisation go?
Whats involved in doing it?
Is a custom webpage graphics possible while using findvera.com?

We're putting the final touches on our release version of the UI, and it's much prettier.

You can change all the colors/buttons/styles.  You can do this now, even, without us.  Go to /www on the Vera to see the web server files.  They're al there in plain text and editable.

How can you acces these files?
Is it possible to acces these files directly from i.e. dreamweaver?

Hi Maarten,

First of all I hope you like the Vera, and it's nice to meet you over here.

You can access these files by going to http://"ipadresofyourvera"/cgi-bin/webif/system-editor.sh?path=/www

Here you can edit the pages and the CSS, it's a lot easier doing it this way then by doing it in dreamweaver.

I alway copy / past it into phpDesigner to edit it localy on my PC.

Have fun with it!
