Request: character set used by keypads
« on: January 24, 2012, 03:53:14 pm »
A request for anyone with an LCD keypad and a bored afternoon:

I'm trying to find out what the 8-bit encoding is that the keypad uses. Clearly it's a superset of 7-bit ASCII but there are innumerable ways that the upper 128 codepoints are arranged.

Can one of you tell me if it's possible to enter accented characters into the keypad? Better, can you discern the ordering of these characters?

Thanks.

Edit: I found this but it's not an ASCII table.
