Problems with Intermatic CA600 dimmable switches
« on: September 12, 2013, 05:35:08 pm »
Hello everyone,

I have Vera 3 lite (2 units in 2 different location) and finally have started to install some of the intermatic swiches that I purchased during the sale last year. The CA3000 and CA3500 seem to pair with vera fine and are working well but the dimmable switch CA600 is not.

It pairs with Vera lite unit.
It is showing up as _Dimmable Light under devices
Vera is giving error message :Unable to get any information on node

This has happend with 2 different CA600 and 2different vera 3 lite units. The vera lite are using latest firmware. The distance between Vera 3 and CA300 is less than 15 feet.

On a similar note, does anyone know of any bulbs that work well with this dimmer? (LED of CFL?). I am getting flickr in manual mode.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I had same problem and error code that you have few weeks ago with the CA600.
To fix it, I did the following:
- Do a full power pair
- Then use a repair option to heel the note for the CA6000
- Go back to the device and do "config. note"
Hope this help.

Thanks for the reply, I am a complete NOOB, could you give me some pointers on how to do the

- full power pair
- config. note

My process of doing pairing:
1) Take vera 3 lite on batteries to CA600
2) Turn CA600 on
3) power up and down the dimmer

Do not use the batteries. Use vera with power plug in.
Bring the vera close to the CA600 switch with thin 5 feet. Pair it.
Go to vera UI click on the Wrench icon of the dimmer you just paired. Look for "Note Configuration..." Click on it.
Once it done you should see a green dot. Do a reload and refresh (F5) then you are good to go

Thanks This helped, but i needs to be connected to network also, which is a PITA in my case with switches being far away.
