@jerrycross

The Danfoss do not report the current temperature, just the setpoint

the panick thing is happening coz the danfoss periodicly and when changed send a signal to vera and vera doesn't respond within time to it. i found it works better when directly connected to vera instead of through another z-wave device. so far the battery life is better then that of stellaz
Vera lite (1.5.622), 2x an-158/2, dead usb pl2302 rs-232, 2x greenwave 6 port, 4x Fibaro FGD211 v1.6, FGBS001, few FGS - 221, etc. AuthomationHD 3 for android :-)

Here is a reply from MCV.

"I've downgraded for you the z-wave to 2.78

The Danfoss radiators requires the z-wave Role to be set to SUC instead of Master.

This can be achieved by downgrading the z-wave firmware from 3.20 which comes installed by default on the units to 2.78.

After that press reload and the Role should be updated to SUC with SIS:YES PRI:YES

You can do that by going to advance settings from the bottom of the page. Then please go to Setup > Z-wave Settings > Options and uncheck the option
where is "Use Z-wave version 3.20 instead of 2.78"   Then you'll need to hit the Reload button."

But a consequence of this is that in- and eks-cluding does not work. You may get the message "failed to go into lerning mode" or it is just not possible.
Hope they will fix it in the new version.
Regards CE

I recently moved all my Danfoss and Stellaz to a separate Vera with 2.78 and I had no problem including them. The Stellaz however need excluding from the old system with a 5+ second push or they will not work.

The main problem I had with 3.20 was the battery life. With 3.20 I was continually changing batteries on my 12 Danfoss valves. Lifetime could vary between 3 weeks to a few months. Before I "upgraded" to 3.20 I had not switched a battery for 6 months. Now after switching to 2.78 in November I have not changed any batteries either. They still worked as far as I could tell except for the blocking mess I wrote about.

Hi,
I've done some test about stella-Z, and written a post. If it can help somebody, here is the address :

It's going to be interesting to see how their new version performs.

http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,23039.0.html

I won't quote him word for word, (family audience and all) but @Ap15e made me aware that he has a very low opinion of the current Danfoss LCs.

So who knows, maybe these new release addresses all of our little niggles/concerns.
