Version 7.47
  • Add Support for Counters
There are two types of Counters:
    • Ordinal
This can be incremented by a PLEG/PLTS Action IncrementCounter. This can be done by a Scene, HTTP request or a PLEG/PLTS condition action.
    • Time
This accumulates the time (in seconds) from when the timer is started and stopped.

What is the maximal value a TIME-type counter can hold?
I am using a time-type counter to accumulate the time my aircondition is on:
I start the timer every time the AC is turned on, and I stop the timer every time the AC is turned off.

Every 2 months the Vera sends me an email with the total duration the AC was on.

Last time I received the following:

Quote
Total air condition time: -8279579.2546988 minutes (-137992.98757831 hours)

I assume this is due to the counter reaching its maximum value, and then turning into a negative number.

Is that correct? If so - what is this maximal value?

Did I mis something? During (other) problems with vera UI7 I had this issue "a PLEG" was not working anymore. Nothing helped so I removed it to create it again. I ended up in creating it, and then find out all creation in the PLEG is gone. Up to 5 times.

Then Vera support told me this is a UI7 bug...

Regarding PLEG, I have got in touch with our development team and this should be solved in 7.14 (the next UI7 build) which should be released next month.

Is it?
Good firmware is more important than good karma. (and this costed me lots of Karma)

Some people are having problems saving changes to PLEG.
Some have succeeded by waiting from 5-10 minutes after making changes before restarting LUA.

This is a UI7 bug (not a PLEG bug) ... I reported very early in UI7 ... when I stopped seeing it I assumed it was fixed ... but with the help of a few unlucky users, have been able to demonstrate the problem definitively to MCV.

I would recommend that you restore your Vera from a backup and be patient after making changes.

@RichardTSchaefer

you may need to speak to Vera again
they are delivering the opposite message
on vera's facebook page someone commented about the pleg luup issue with empty values
vera's response was that the developer is aware and will make an app update
contents pasted below

Jeff Colter There seems to be a problem with Vera recent firmware updates that is stopping the PLEG plugin from being able to save configuration changes when made in Vera UI7. I have opened a ticket for the support team and have linked to one of the forum posts w...See More

Vera Control, Ltd. Jeff, an update. The author has already been in touch with us and we are working with him to get it resolved. With a plugin you won't have to for a firmware update; as long as you have automatic updates turned on for the app it will update automatically when the author publishes the update.
