rolladin shutters
« on: September 18, 2009, 03:28:06 pm »
I would like to be able to control my rolladin shatters a.k.a. hurricane shutters with Vera. They are low-voltage switches with up, down and neurtral positions.

I also have hurricane shutters on my home in Florida and would like to use Vera to control them locally and remotely.  However, I believe my switches (up, neutral and down) are 120 volt and not low voltage like yours.  I will check my switches this weekend and report back next week if I am wrong.
Vera2 (1.1.1183); Dongle (2.78); Schlage BE369; 3 Panasonic cams (2 BL C131; 1 BL C20); 1 RP200; 2 GE ZW3101; 1 VRP03; 3 TZEMT400AB32MAA
 Vera2 (1.1.1245); Schlage FE599; 4 Panasonic cams ( 2 BL C131; 1 BB HCM371; 2 BB HCM581A); 2 RP200; 1 GE ZW3101; 3 TZEMT400AB32MAA

on the surface, my switches look like a regular 110 V rocker switch. But when I removed the plate, wires I'm more like low-voltage wires.

There is no three position switch out there. You would need a Zwave window /shade controller.

would that work with heavy steel window shutters? If so, who makes such a controller?
