ZRR150 - Duplex Outlet
« on: September 23, 2009, 06:40:12 pm »
Has anyone tried the ACT ZRR150 with Vera?
How does it work for the controls and whatnot.

Thinking about these over the Intermatic because both outlets are controllable it looks like.

Actually, as is the case I think with all z-wave receptables, only one outlet is controlled.  Unfortunately, ASI Home's description of the item omits that detail.  You can see a spec sheet on this item at...

http://www.act-solutions.com/HomePro/pdfs/HomePro/Specs/ZRR150-S200_spec.pdf

But I don't have any experience with this item, so cannot offer any meaningful information as to its performance.

Have both the in my house the ZRR150 is quieter than than the HA01C  - Slackner is correct all receptacles on the market currently have one controlled outlet - the ZRR150 and the CA3500 are bottom controlled and the HA01C is top controlled

hmmmm, that would make the HA01C top and bottom controlled... lol... I have the HA01C, it is top controlled... nice typo though :)

I just installed them upside down so they are then bottom controlled :)

Then you need the Cooper Aspire RFTR9505-T. Both are RF controlled.

Fixed.

Hrm.. from what I could find of these two they both say
Quote from: http://solutions.cooperwiringdevices.com/specfiles/pdf/cwd%20technology/RF9505-T_SpecSheet.pdf
Provides RF control of one outlet leaving
the other one for normal use

Can't find where it says their both controllable.

Edit: And after digging a little more, I don't think I need it bad enough to justify $150+, and that was where I did find it on google. Couldn't find it at any of the other sites I goto.

That is really funny, two different docs from the same site say two different things.
Does anyone actually have one of these switches to finish this debate? lol

Their expensive, I know that.

From their Spec Sheet: The Aspire RF™ 15A Split Receptacle replaces regular receptacles and provides local and remote RF ON/OFF control of a single outlet.

That's the exact same one I was quoting from.

Yeah, I've been saving up my money hoping to one day invest in even one of the Cooper devices. They're purty.

Okay, per kaldoon I'll change the wiki to reflect this. One outlet RF controlled, one hot.
