« on: March 05, 2014, 02:21:15 am »
Hello guys

I made like a small demo

I want people to check them selves

Is there any like DANGER in doing so?
Maybe by accessing my vera one would be able to access my lan?

Here are some things I could do once I have access to your Vera:

I could use it to send spam from your IP address, or to send a forged email that implicates you as a terrorist or pornographer.

I could install a packet-sniffer and listen to other traffic on your LAN. I could probably get your router password the next time you log into its admin interface.

I could make Vera log in to your router and redirect your DNS requests to a different server that I control.

I could insert a man-in-the-middle to catch your Internet banking password, even over SSL.

I could make Vera log into your Internet banking and send money from your bank account to a registered terrorist organization.

But I wouldn't.

Someone else might.

So don't.

I will try another way

Do you know a way that people can use the vera username and password for the iphone/andriod app but not to access my vera UI?
