using vera2 - what am I missing by not having UI6 support?
« on: March 18, 2014, 01:14:05 pm »
If I just keep using my vera2, which doesn't support UI6, what features will I be missing going forward?

Which of these might be considered the most important?

Anything critical?

Thanks,
Tom

Right now UI6 does not offering anything of value in features. It is a hybrid between UI5 and what UI7 will become. The main benefit is the new authentication system called MMS which is more secure than the older authentication in UI5 and older. But is much more complex and not compatible with many of the 3rd party apps right now.

UI6 seems to be headed in the right direction, but better to wait until the UI7 is ready as the UI6 is barely compatible with almost no plugin and terribly basic.  Although for end users the interface gives a great impression.

Here's a screenshot for your to see how it looks using a Vera3 controller
