UI6 developer's guide?
« on: April 24, 2014, 03:13:02 am »
I haven't upgraded to UI6 yet, but from what I read it introduces some changes for us plugin developers and 3rd party interface developers. However, I can't see any details at all of what the changes are at http://wiki.micasaverde.com/ - in fact it makes no mention at all of UI6. Does anyone know where the UI6 developer's guide is?

There is no developers guide. The only document that is available upon request from MCV that pertains to UI6 is in regards to their MMS Authentication service. The only real change for UI6 in regards to plugin development pertains to java related changes. So only plugins that use javascript in their plugins would be affected by UI6.

Thanks. So the changes to plugins are to look in 2 places for icons, and replace any prototype.js code? It looks like people are figuring it out by trial and error rather than MCV publishing any information, so I guess that list may grow.
