UI6 features?
« on: April 27, 2014, 11:49:51 am »
Is there a thread or document explaining the features and benefits of ui6? I've searched with no luck.

I upgraded last night and have been dealing with more problems than seeing any real benefits. I'm hoping to revert back to UI5 today.

UI6 is essentially a dead-end since UI7 is suppose to be released any day now. If it was me, i wouldn't waste any time trying to get UI6 to work. Revert to UI5, watch and wait for UI7.

yeah, that'll make it all better. ;-)  Like UI7 is going to be better. Vera's devs have proven incompetent - no matter what number they place after the letters U & I

They may be incompetent, but that still doesn't change my advice. UI6 was clearly a stop gap measure that was released purely to work out the bugs in the new authentication system that UI7 was going to rely on.

You have UI5 right now, which is the most stable version they have at the moment, UI6 (only months old), and the pending UI7. MCV is going to concentrate all their resources on supporting UI7 once it's released, why would one want to install a version like UI6 that will get little attention or support?
