I'm having troubles to setting up a vera action for a fence. When I click "select" the popup "looking up data" appears, then "error accessing your vera". I gave it a try a couple of times. I double checked my credentials, vera id seems to be right too.
Did I miss something?

I have a timeout that is on the short side that I have a fix for ... I have some other changes I am testing.

I suggest you configure the Vera settings while on a LAN. The timeout should be fine for triggering an event, when its not on the LAN.
The data size for setup is very big and a slow network link can exceed the timeout.

I did this over my WLAN. The connection is reasonably fast. Should I wait for the new version with a longer timeout?

It should work OK now if you configure it when you are on Wifi at home.

Turn on Debug ... (in settings)
In Credentials ... List your Vera IDs.
Then try to configure your Vera Action.
Then send me the log file.

Hello Richard,

this looks like a great solution for Geo fencing. I just installed it, entered my MIOS account and my password. A couple of questions if you don't mind answering...

A) it looks like Vera Proximity runs in the background and I can see that at the top of my cell phone running KitKat Samsung S5. When I click on "clear" of my Android update and tasks window all the historical stuff is removed and running apps still are listed with the exception of Vera Proximity. When I hold my left menu button to show me running applications Vera Proximity is listed but Vera Proximity is not showing up at the top of my cell phone. How do I know if it is properly working?
B) I defined an inner and an outer fence. How is this software communicating with Vera? Do I have to install something on Vera too? I am trying to start certain scenes and actions when fence is entered but it seems like I am doing something wrong.
C) The app says it is for free but then I read here about a license key and there is a license key entry field. Is there a fee for this app? Just checking.

Thanks in advance.

Richard,
Hoping you will soon integrate VP into Tasker?   I, and I'm sure others, have Tasker activities which rely on Network location services (Tasker's native w/o GPS)... would be a duplication of apps/effort to use two separate apps for the same fencing. If we could switch to VP for all fencing, that would be good.

btw, I'm testing VP now and seeing if it provides more accuracy than Tasker's native location service... at my prior home Tasker did better than AutoVera (Google services) so it will be interesting to see which is better at my new home.

I am testing it too and I cannot make it work. It does show me my location and my 2 zones but when I enter or leave the zones nothing happens regardless if I chose local or Vera or sound. I cannot figure out what is not working properly.
