If I get an event from the Phone (GeoFence,  Cell Tower Change, Wifi Change, GSM service Change, it will wake up my app.
While my app is awake ... you can NOT remove the notification icon ... after a minute or two it will allow you to remove the notification.

So if you can't remove the notification you are constantly getting one of the above events!

On the Note 3 with custom rom I get none of the above notifcations.

On my wifes custom Rom S4 see gets the above notifications. She also get the app icon to show a number of new items, where mine does not. I have tryed to disable as much as I can on her phone to hide it like mine, but no go for her.

I'm not following. We both have Samsungs (S4 and Note 3) and she gets them I don't. Both rooted but Both on Different Roms but Both 4.4 android.

I'm assuming something in the ROM if anything.

Let me put it differently ... they are supported by Samsung Software/Not the physical hardware ... if you are running custom roms you are not Samsung compatible.

VP has stopped working, although I didn't make any changes. On entering / leaving fences I don't get any notifications / actions any more. I tried restarting my phone, VP, disabling / enabling the app /notifications /actions. No change. I found a "failed to add geofences" message. What does that mean?

Same for me... I have voice alerts and they never occur.

Maybe clear the cache and redefine your fences.

I tried using a fresh install. No different. I can watch the map and see me move in and out of fences but VP almost never triggers

Did you email yourself or Richard an Error log from inside the app?

I have a few times emailed him directly from the app. I'm not finding any pattern to the issue either.

I cleared the app cache and data, setup my inner and outer fence fresh, no change. No notification, no action is triggered. I can see myself moving on the map at the right location, but at the fences borders nothing happens.
On setup vp again issued an error about a problem setting up fences (see my post above).

It turns out that google's location services were turned off. After activating them I have everything back to normal. My fault all along :(

Anyone here using Samsung Note 4 for this app? I'm experiencing issues that I never had with my Note 3, Anyone else have same phone working?

EDIT: Think I found the problem some testing tomorrow will confirm, but looks like it was stupid mistake (like always right).

Need a new license when replacing your old phone?
