Ya i'll have to look into that.  Thanks for the heads up.  I'm actually curious how many of the users that use my app are updated to windows phone 8.1 already.
My Z-Wave: 1x Vera (FW 1.0.979, Dongle 2.78), 1x Intermatic HA03C, 1x Intermatic HA05C, 1x Intermatic HA02C, 1x Wayne Dalton WDTC-20

Spencer, I could have sworn this already worked.  How do you use voice command today with Grasshopper?

On 8.0 i believe you hold the start button.  You should see grasshopper in the list of apps if you flick to the right.  In 8.1 you use the search button and in cortana you should see it listed. Here's a complete list of the voice commands available.  Some of the values are loaded dynamically.

Commands
Grasshopper...
run [scene] on [unit] in [room]
run {sceneName} [on] {unitName}
run {sceneName} [on] {unitName} in {roomName}
run {sceneName} in {roomName}

execute {sceneName} [on] {unitName}

I cannot get this to work at all.

When i give a command:
Grasshopper run xxx
or an other command it simply opens the coratna search..

If i say: cortana open grasshopeer it opens the grasshopper app, but running a command it ALWAYS searches, never does anything...

Which version of the app are you on?   Voice commands work very differently in the windows 8.1 version

Voice commands are still there also but they work much differently than the old app.  The biggest complaint I had was it was too hard to say the commands because the app was supporting multiple veras.  I have 2 of them.  So I've simplified things in that you now only attach voice commands to actions you create.  And those voice commands can be whatever you want.  These actions can run things across multiple veras if you choose.  The voice page under actions will display all the commands you have created on your actions, so as you can see voice is not something that is there by default.    There is a help module inside the app that will probably be helpful as well.

Spencer,... remember, I had the same problem.  I think it was that I was running both the beta and the released version????

Voice commands are still there also but they work much differently than the old app.  The biggest complaint I had was it was too hard to say the commands because the app was supporting multiple veras.  I have 2 of them.  So I've simplified things in that you now only attach voice commands to actions you create.  And those voice commands can be whatever you want.  These actions can run things across multiple veras if you choose.  The voice page under actions will display all the commands you have created on your actions, so as you can see voice is not something that is there by default.    There is a help module inside the app that will probably be helpful as well.

As already mentioned, does not work.

I  created a action and called it clock, give it a voice command 'clock', this should run a scene called 'clock on/off', the i say to cortana:
grasshopper run clock
Then cortana simply starts a (bing) search for 'grasshopper run clock'..
It does not matter which commando i give, actions or commands in the above list it always only does bing searches..

When i say: 'start (or open) grashopper' it opens the grasshoppe app, that seems the only command which works, this is a voice command from cortana(phone) it self and opens any app on the phone....

Oh yeah i forgot the beta uses the same command name which i believe flakes out the voice search.   If you have that installed twice try uninstalling the beta.  If that is not the case, this issue typically means the action list is not getting updated properly.  In the voice search does Grasshopper show up with and item called: Grasshopper run [actionname]?

There two places in the app where it tries to update this data.  They are when the app starts and when you save an action.  Do you get errors on either of these places?   I log a bunch of stuff when this code runs so send those too me for analysis.

only 1 version installed/listed in the app list

Get no error, nowhere in the app itself, not on start or save of action. The app itself works without any error message.

When i say 'grasshopper run clock' I see cortana is searching exactly what i say and show me results 'web results', below in de adress/bar is exactly written what i said 'Grasshopper run clock.', so it understands exactly what i say but only searches the web for it.

Go to the About page and send me the logs.  I want to see what its loading into that voice command file that the OS uses.
