Z-Wave battery light "puck"?
« on: July 26, 2014, 09:26:45 am »
I have two closets (coat and pantry) that do not have lights in them.  Are there any battery powered Z-Wave lights?  I can simply add some low cost "tap" lights but I would like to have a battery powered light connected to a door sensor so that it automatically comes on when the door is opened.

No. But, there are already better solutions out there.
Wireless LED Motion Sensor Light, 2-Pack
OxyLED T-02 DIY Stick-on Anywhere Portable 10-LED Wireless Motion Sensing Closet Cabinet LED Night Light
Danibos Wireless 8-LED Light Lamp PIR Sensitive Auto Sensor Motion Detector Super Light (2, White) and other tasteless colors.

Also, you could use the "tap" lights and wire a contact or micro switch to them.

But how can I play with my cool toy then?

Just joking, those look perfect and are much, much, much cheaper than a Z-Wave solution.
