Henning737 -

Do the X10 stuff through Mochad not work on UI7 or was it not working for you on UI5 either?  I am considering upgrading, but would like my Mochad X10 stuff to continue to work ok.  Thanks.

If you are using any plugins that are not listed as working here or you use a USB/serial port adapter then do not update at the moment.

Unless you have an urgent need to switch to UI7, I recommend that you wait. There is a new release coming that should fix some of the issues.

Upgraded from UI5 > UI7
In general, the "simple" things like my Fibaro plugs to control lights work.
My existing scenes & plugins & timers etc do seem to work.

Howerver, the "dashboard" seems to be missing an overview of "upcoming" events (like the UI5 had) that are about to "run"
I can't really find it.

Also, the PowerMax plugin is problematic. The developer made some changed last days and I'm able to get the "config page" for the plugin, but the GUI does not allow me to "selecte" buttons. Example enable/disable logging.
Don't really know who is causing this, 3e party module or UI7 .... so no PowerMax Pro alarm panel for the moment (which is key...)

So I'm probably going back to UI5 next weeks or so, UI7 looks a bit more "fancy" but that's it for me...

Is there a timeline for this release?

I've installed some build that was referred to in another thread concerning "Serial Port" settings that could not be clicked on.

You are running the latest version: 1.7.353

This build did NOT fix any "Serial Port Configuration" for me.
So under Apps / Develop Apps / Serial Port Configuration does nothing for me, no menu unfolds or anything.

"soon" they said, which means anything in Micasaverde's language ;D
We just have to be patient.

Haha, damn... Unpredictable release cycles suck.. Especially for projects this size.

So I tried to upgrade to UI7 firmware again and again it was FAIL :( .

I backed up my network, saved the files on my local disk and attempted to update from UI5 to UI7 as directed on http://z-wave.infoeplus.com/upgrade-your-vera-to-ui7/ ...

The site stated, "If you want to go ahead and start using the UI7 you can do it by accessing your UI5 or UI6 setup page and search for the firmware tab, then you can drop the following link into the ?Advanced: URL for Vera Custom Firmware? input and click on continue.

http://download.mios.com/rt3662_betafirmware/rt3662_Luup_ui7-1.7.318-en-mios.squashfs"

It appeared my current settings for rooms and scenes were not applied to the firmware update so I reverted back to UI5. My system is fully functional again.

Is there a better procedure to upgrade to UI7? I don't want to rebuild EVERYTHING again!

Can the next UI be something similar to Wink UI? MAKE IT SIMPLE LIKE APPLE PRODUCT, NOT LIKE ANDROID!!!!

I don't want to fight but I must rebut your post. The entire concept of Vera is open like Android. Apple is locked down and safe so that non-tech savvy individuals won't experience problems. I hope Vera never makes their system more like Apple.

Oh god no!!!

Give us options to DO what we want our HA solution to do...I dont want to be told how i can switch my lights on or off!!

The greatest feature of Vera right now is its ability to be customised ( helped largely via plugins! )

If you want a Apple like solution you should have chosen Fibaro....
