"If" in a Scene

How do I use an "IF" in a scene?? Should be simple but I can't figure it out. I want a scene to trigger when a virtual switch turns off but only if a variable is set. How do I tell the scene to check the variable?

You have to use the luup tab of the scene editor with a lua code returning either true or false
