Deleting Scenes in UI7
« on: September 10, 2014, 05:50:54 pm »
Hi,

I have been trying to delete a scene but it keeps coming back.
I also tried to update the scene to delete the device and that also dont want to work.
Any clues on how to get this working?
The first few weeks of UI7 was good but random issues poping up
Chris

It may be UI7 state issue or your browser cache issue. Try to refresh your browser (CTRL+F5/CTRL+R) after deleting.

Does not seems to work

UPDATE: Ok tried in different browsers and OS, not even the Vera Client for Android is deleting the Scene. This maybe an system issue..

Mine UI7 VeraLite does delete scenes without any problems. Seems you have something wrong with your unit.
I think the best way will be to contact Vera Support.

I had problems deleting scenes that where migrated from UI6, I tried and tried and tried until one of those times they didn't come back.

Same here, took a few attempts at deleting before they went away. Weird thing is that the scenes I had deleted also seemed to keep working even though they were no longer in the list. Had to pull the plug on vera to get rid of them.

I have said this multiple times .... On UI7  BEFORE you start to edit anything. .... Refresh your browser.

Otherwise you are likely to wipe out previous changes.!!!!!

I don't think the browser has anything to do with it..
The unit is not deleting the scenes. I have tried to delete my scenes now for the last 4 days and they still there and working.
I will maybe wipe it all and start over.. not what I want to do.. :)

There are two potential problems ...
You are out of space and Vera can't save a new copy of its state.

It IS the browser, or actually how Vera manages the stat IN the browser.

When you hit a back button .. The browser backs up to a previous state I.e before you made the changes.
Then you do something and it saves this old state without your modifications.

When you refresh the browser you guarantee that it does not have any old stale date that it might save.

Understand that, but I have even try this on the Vera App.
Maybe it could be my system is full like you mentioned.. how would I know that and clean up something?
