EchoSolar/EchoFirst from SunEdison integration Vera
« on: November 19, 2014, 11:31:44 am »
My home was built with the Echo+ Solar Hybrid system which is a unix/linux cloud based system with a Zigbee adapter that communicates to 2 CT50 Radio thermostats (these thermostats can support up to 2 modules each with options for WiFi/Zigbee/ZWave).

For more information:

I am curious on moving forward with trying to integrate this solution with my VeraLite(UI7) and so far my options are:
  • Find a way for Vera and SunEdison (owners of EchoSolar) to work together to integrate each other (doubtful)
  • Create a plugin to hack in functionality into the Vera (problematic as I am not sure how open the system will be to program for)
  • Avoid the system completely and purchase ZWave or WiFi modules to my thermostats along with a Aeon HEM device

I'm throwing this out there to see if others are in the same situation as myself and have any input.

Thank you!
