Everyone complaining about this needs to open a support ticket. If you don't open a support ticket then the company will not prioritize this as an issue. They do NOT monitor these forums.

Yesterday Mios support dropped me a line:
"We apologize for the issues you?ve been encountering.
We?ve discovered an incompatibility in the usb drivers on the OpenWrt platform that is used by the Vera Edge.
Our colleagues from development are working on it right now and should release a patch and in the first weeks of January to fix this.
If you?ve been on UI7 for some time you?ve probably noticed that the interface has evolved over time, and each monthly update brings fixes along with improvements.
Thank you for your patience. "

This is pretty unbelievable product management. I can only imagine that a company ships such an untested product when in desperate need of cash before the Christmas sales.
Anyway I'm returning my Vera Edge to my kind supplier. My Raspberry PI Domoticz is back up and running again.  Mios can learn a lot from this open source development.

FS20 is apparently a 868 MHz protocol and so not compatible with RFXtrx433E.

Today I get this from Vera support:

I?ve reported the feature request in our internal tracker, and our developers will be looking into it. Once resolved it will be included into future software updates for your Vera controller.

You can always track fixes and new features added on our release notes page :

Anyone get any other answer?

The 8th January I was asked to enable the "Tech Support" so they could take a look at my Vera. Haven't heard anything since.

Got the same message 2015-01-10 about that Veras "developers know about that issue and this should be fixed in the next firmware update that is announced to come at the end of january.".

Have anyone heard about the new FW? Bought my new Vera Edge before christmas and have still not been able to take the leap and upgrade from my old Vera Lite... :S

Just to update this thread; I started a conversation on Vera's Facebook page some three weeks ago about the USB/RFX issues I have being having with the Vera Edge and the ?85 RFX I had bought to use with it. I involved Marc and a Product Director and the response was that, "there was a planned end of month fix (January)" and that, "I would be very pleased with it" or words to that effect.

As I am at work I do not have access to social media sites but I will update this thread with a link when I get home.  I've given the Vera team an opportunity to deliver to their word, and I must say in their favor that the response from Board level would appear that they have engaged with the issues so let's see what materializes. I would recommend posting issues on there as it will get a better response due to it being a public portal. Naturally when the fix comes out I will return the feedback so that other perspective customers can see that the issues are being dealt with in a timely manner.

Without basic USB functionality, this box is no better than an expensive remote control but mine is also unstable. Hang in there guys, there are only two days left in this month.

David McKenna Morning Marc - can you please let us know when the next firmware fixing the USB issues will be out today or tomorrow. There's a lot of black lego bricks out here with flashing lights not doing much until this promised support is available
