To sum this thread up ... Do not use the Vera Developed app for GeoFencing

On Apple you can use the IPhone locator plugin.
On Android you can use Vera Proximity app.

In both case you are best to back up the GeoFence technology with a second detection strategy.
(ALL GeoFence apps suffer from occasional false readings).
You can use a second larger diameter fence, a PING sensor sensing your phone is home, A router detecting the DHCP address request ....
(Most GeoFence apps suffer most from a small diameter fence when your phone is inside and GPS signal is weak and your cell-tower triangulation keeps moving your location).

PLEG has worked very well to integrate  MULTIPLE sensors for Multiple PEOPLE in the house to provide RELIABLE conditions like the following to trigger your Autmation:

MrIsHome
MrsIsHome
AllAreHome
SomeAreHome
AllAreGone

Great feedback.

Can you provide some more insight on the Android integration?

3 people means 3 times licenses for the app?
What's the PLEG logic? Can you share that logic if possible?

The following is a simple example .... but PLEG allows you to customize to your lifestyle ...

First you have a Multi-switch to hold the status of your various sensors. The GeoFence apps set/reset these values.

MultiSwitch1  -       Mr Inner Zone
MultiSwitch2  -       Mr Outer Zone
MultiSwitch3  -       Mrs Inner Zone
MultiSwitch4  -       Mrs Outer Zone
MultiSwitch5 -        Kid Inner Zone
MultiSwitch6 -        Kid Outer Zone

The above are TRUE when the person is INSIDE  of the GeoFence ... Inner .10 mile   Outer .40 mile

Inputs:
MrInner
MrOuter
MrsInner
MrsOuter
KidInner
KidOuter
Night      (Either a Schedule or Day and Night plugin)
DoorKeyCode    - Door Lock

Conditions:
MrHome             MrOuter and (MrOuter; MrInner)
MSHome            MrsOuter and (MrsOuter; MrsInner)
KidHome            KidOuter and (KidOuter; KidInner)
SomeAreHome    MrHome or MrsHome or KidHome      (Repeats on!)
AllAreGone          Not SomeAreHome

TurnArrivalLightsOn   Night and SomeAreHome
DisarmAlarm       DoorKeyCode and SomeAreHome

Actions for AllAreGone  would include things like lock doors, setback thermostat set points,  arm Alarm

Thanks a lot.

On the licensing question... Do I have to buy 3 licenses as we have 3 different playstore accounts and not a family account?

I don't think it's per google account anyways. The app is free to download and use. It only cost per VeraPoximity Client using vera. I have purchased multiple, but i guess i would also like to know the skinny!

My intention was 2 People per vera per license.

But since I have no way of enforcing that it's N-People per vera per license.
I do check that it matches your Vera ID (Checked when  needed to send commands to Vera)

Thanks, With my new Plus coming soon (Hopefully), I'll need new licences for PLEG, Alerts, Proximity..........

Vera's Geofencing is now working for multiple mobile devices.
Here is a video I took recently of it working.

I am preparing a setup video.

Confirmed.  I have been using it for about a month with two devices.  Works nicely and as expected. (android platform)

The Vera Mobile app (iPhone) is still not reliable for either the Exit Home or the Enter Home event - even with the most recent (beta) version of the app. I started keeping a log a week ago, on 9/14. In the last 7 days, there were 2 times that an "Enter Home" event was detected but not the (prior) corresponding "Exit Home" event; 2 times that an "Exit Home" event was detected but not the (following) corresponding "Enter Home" event; and 1 more complicated failure - no initial "Exit Home" event, but then an "Enter Home", an "Exit Home" 1 minute later (without me going anywhere), and then another "Enter Home" 1 minute after that.

Soooo... you still can't use the Vera Mobile app for (reliable) geofencing...

I have had great reliability.  Only a time or two did I not get an exit and that was due to me forgetting that I had logged in to a different vera on my phone, which disables the geo fence and logs me out of my home vera.

Droid Turbo.  Android 5.1.

The inconsistency with user experience is maddening.

Seconded. geofence reliability is about 90% with the latest Android app beta on a V10 and latest Ui7 firmware.
I did notice that setting location on the V10 to both use GPS and WiFi greatly improved the consistency.

I've got it combined with the DD-WRT presence script and combined reliability is close to 98/99%.

It's been really reliable for me, too, on Android. Even have it working with two users (well, three if you count the "guest" user I set up).
