Yeah, screenshots would be great!!!

Grr, wanted to rant again about not giving us, loyal customers, any news/screenshots, but wouldn't do that, as I'm afraid I'll give a wrong impression of a grumpy old man... :)

The new UI will be flash based and it will have a floorplan designer, also a lot of improvements have been added to our backend, a few plugins, support for the new door locks and much more.
I've attached a preview image:

We're hopping to release a test version this month.

I hope we can change the looks. It would be great if we could design our own dashboard.
I really like the Squarconnect iphone look.

I can understand that vera does not have anough memory to store a heavy and big grafical dashboard.
Maybe an idea to make it possible to just make a win/mac tool that can interact perfectly with Vera.

Even if we could just change the base color it would be helpful. I understand that Vera is "green". I want to make my house "green" as well. But I don't actually want to make it green. Some other color options would help to allow wall-mounted touchscreens to mesh with home decor a bit better.

Hi,

Yes, from UI3, the colors can be changed by the user, so don't panic about that light green you see in that screeshoot.

I sincerely hope that the new UI will be highly customisable not just the colours but also the icons and other graphics. Even photos maybe? On the other hand it will be very important that the general performance of Vera will not suffer. Looks are important but function remains priority as far as I'm concerned. Looking forward to give it a go though.

All screen elements (icons, popups, etc.) are in xml to allow 3rd parties to create their own device controls, scenes, events independent from us.

Sounds great, but how is Vera store all this data? Does it have enough memory?

Hi,

Actually, the new UI consumes less space than the previous one. We are working on the performance aspect.
