Persistence: recommendation to use rrd over db4o?
« on: January 04, 2015, 12:49:41 pm »
I am debating using either rrd or db4o for saving state data. Is it recommended to use rrd over db4o.

Garrett,
I use RRD as it was the default, and required minimal setup, but there are issues with it (mostly the items that aren't being persisted due to their datatype)

I don't think there's a particularly strong driver for using any of openHAB's Persistence drivers, although I'd consider moving to the MySQL version when I eventually get around to making the change.
