Ive Created a Weather Dashboard for Imperihome
« on: April 24, 2015, 08:04:18 am »
My little weather dashboard is really taking shape, just need to figure out how to get a URL to launch an external app to see  more complete breakdown of multiday forecast etc - otherwise it will take a load more work to create a multi tile display with loads more info which is not something i plan on doing. I have uploaded the source here for anyone who wants and have put a few important notes in the file - only slight annoyance is it shows a white background whilst its loading. You will need a web server running somewhere with PHP to run the page. Grab the source here..

Bear in mind its been developed for a 2x2 dashboard on a 2013 nexus 7 and for sure wont render perfectly in every dashboard layout, may work ok in a 2x3 on a 10" tab. Be interested to see?

I cant get this t work, looks like it is calling the Tasker app?  The temperature values are blank on the web page.

I don't understand what this line is for...  <a href="tasker://Weather">

Have you changed/updated this?

How can I get this to work without Tasker?

thx

First I've even seen this. Is there better installation and set-up instructions someplace?

Thanks.

@sammy there has already been a topic about this, http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,24806.msg172911.html#msg172911
You don't need a webserver running, you only need a HTML file on your android device and load it in Imperihome as a webpage, file:///storage/sdcard0/index12.html (in your case it would be different).
You have to make your own widget at e.g. theweather.com.
You can use my html file as a reference. Just rename index12.txt to index12.html
Hope this helps !!
