Hello,

My Vision ZD2102 Door/Window sensors stay tripped.
It seems that this bug is not fixed (all my door management is broken since 3 month).

What is the problem ? This sensor does not respect the Z-Wave standard ?
I've planned to buy several Vision sensors (a new version Z-Wave+ seems to be available).
Should I change my plan and choose Fibaro (or another brand) ?

Quick word of warning.  I upgraded to 7.08 after my veralite was already having zwave issues.  Vera set me up with an RMA to send it back.  So I thought, let me factory default this thing before I send it back.  I used the web interface to return to factory defaults (Settings>Backup).  After that, my controller was bricked.  Only blue flashing light and could not communicate with it.  I'm happy I was already sending it back.

Oh man, I was a click away from installing this. I should avoid like the plague, sounds like. </3

I think the problem is that security devices have a ton of options on how they can report an alarm state and exit from alarm state, there are both alarm classes and command classes that z-wave supports, and devices are not consistent on what message class they are using or series of messages they might send (some alert devices near them, some only send back to the controller) so creating a generic implementation for a alarm style sensor is tricky.  Each sensor probably has to be handled a little differently.

My MonoPrice/Vision motion sensors are acting normal on 7.08 as do my MonoPrice/Vision door sensors. Correct untrip behavior on both. It looks like the MonoPrice/Vision glass break sensor still does not untrip properly though.

The UI feels a bit more responsive as well.

OK, I've reconfigured my ZD2102 sensors. Seems to work now.
They do not stay tripped.

How is set your wakeup interval ? (mine is 86400)

Wakeup interval set to the default 1800 seconds the system configured as it seems to work.

I did add, under Device options, a Variable named 1, with data size 1 byte hex and value 1 to get the sensor to untrip after 1 minute. Same as for my motion sensors..

I upgraded my Vera Edge with the June update and everything is working perfectly right now.  I'm actually amazed, as I now have over 100 devices working without a single problem or error.

My Hue lights are now working.  My Leviton dimmer switches are no longer kicking out errors about a missing manufacturer.  I was able to setup my Minimote (I added it as a Aeon Keyfob ZWave+).  I had to mess with the config to get my Aeotec Gen5 Recessed Door Sensor setup, but even that's working perfectly now.

Things are looking up.

4 days since the upgrade now. My motion and door/windows sensors have been untriggering correctly. The only one that seems to have an issue untriggering in the Monoprice/Vision glass break/ shock sensor. I'll give that one a work out this weekend with a recording of breaking glass.  :P No other issues noticed so far.

Stability is quite good. No Vera reboots since the one needed for the upgrade so that is quite promising.

My only issue right now is using the new Android Vera beta app that Geofencing is broken on that. Hopefully that'll get fixed shortly. For now, ye olde trusty dd-wrt presence script to the rescue...

I had a good laugh... You know that the glass break sensor is actually a vibration sensor right? You can just shake it! I put in a new battery and indeed it does not untrigger...

Apparently you haven't read through the whole thread.  The vast majority of responders are saying that the upgrade went smoothly and that things are working mostly better although a couple of previously reported issues still aren't fixed.  But I don't think this upgrade broke anything new that I know of.

I only upgraded to get the Vera interface to stop pestering me, as I was refreshing the page frequently to update the scenes on a remote. Every time I refreshed it insisted on taking me away from what I was working on and back to the upgrade page.

Anyway, upgrading was a major mistake. I couldn't get into the VeraLite anymore, not from the Vera 7 web interface, not from my phone or tablet. The remote only worked with the scenes I set up under Vera 5 not the new ones on Vera 7. Strangely, the schedule still ran. After rebooting the VeraLite a few times it seems to have automatically downgraded back to 1.7.583. Still can't get a new scene working on the remote, only the old V5 scenes, but at this point everything else sort of works so I'm reluctant to touch it. I'm certainly not upgrading!

My setup: Very simple! Just enough to control 3 air conditioners:
VeraLite controller (purchased in 2013)
3 Aeon Labs Smart Energy Switch model DSC06106-ZWUS
GE model 45600 remote
Android phone, iPad tablet

My motion sensors (DSC 1832) stopped reporting "tripped" status with this upgrade. It was working before but I am not sure when it was broken. Maybe because of this release or some previous releases.

As mentioned on this post :
http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,30566.0.html

My Vision door sensors are still not correctly handled : it follows that all my automation is affected and non-functional.
It seems to work just after reconfiguration, but shortly after they tripped again just after being untripped (so they stay tripped).

Before the problematic versions of the firmware, I noticed that the sensors can not be activated immediately after activation (10 seconds delay). It had to have a temporization there which did not take into account a too fast reactivation.

It is disturbing that this problem is not corrected since 3 versions (and a little scary).

Are these cheap door sensors not compliant with Z-Wave protocol ?
Perhaps the GEN5 version is more robust (I have read that Gen5 certification is more difficult to obtain)

I've just noticed that in Advanced tab, model is "ZD2102-5"
It seems that this model is Z-Wave plus : http://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/988

I have the former version (not GEN5).
http://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/702

Could it be the problem ?
