I updated the Sonos app in the Vera, and then I could hear what I typed within the app. Then I tried to run a scene which didn't work. And after that, back to square one, silent.

@Loldomo,
Per chance do we still have to manually load the files (per your earlier thread), or is this now in the latest version of the SONOS plugin? Mike

I have finally added a parameter "Microsoft option". By default, the parameter is empty and the result will be a small audio file and no gender specified.
You can set in the plugin UI one of these values: "Male", "Female", "MinSize|Male", "MinSize|Female", "MaxQuality|Male", "MaxQuality|Female".

You will have to upload 4 files I have updated: I_Sonos1.xml J_Sonos1.js L_SonosTTS.lua S_Sonos1.xml
Don't forget to free your WEB browser cache as the JavaScript file is updated.

The en-US female voice has changed as well. To me for the better as it now has a 'perkyness' to it, a bit less computery.

Agreed.

The en-CA female voice changed as well. I don't like the new one, so I switched to en-US. Better even than the old en-CA.

Same here. All the ones I tested have all become female. It seems only the EN-US has improved. All the others have degraded.

Are you running the latest version of the plugin? As Lolodomo added a 'Microsoft Option' field where you can specify Male or female for the voice gender to use. Has that option been removed by MS?

Running 1.4 and have never seen such an option.

To my knowledge... no. I've been running 1.4 for many months (a year?) now. I have the Microsoft option field populated with "MinSize|Female" and the voice has consistently stayed female, even if the voice itself has been altered.

As per LoloDomo's post on page 9 of this thread:
