Tried to reload the Zwave engine. Did not work.
Tried a couple of backups. Did not work.
Any ideas?

That sucks.

A Phone call is quick and easy, but it requires human interaction that most these days fear. Email takes longer. Also have you read about the problems with the latest update and the release notes. Is there anything on either that is going to hurt you more then help. Many like to upgrade just because and it provides no update to anything they own and actually might cause more problems.

I get your point but I was having issues with a couple of things I thought the upgrade may fix. Also, no upgrade should cause the Zwave to fail to start. That's the whole point of owning a Vera.

Altho it has never happen to me (yet) it's good to know that any update can fail or corrupt. Best that we minimize that chance by knowing how to call support to fix it or not upgrading if we don't need to. I personally use PLEG and have Z-combo smokes both have been reported to not work after the update. I'll sit this one out and prevent me posting the same problems after I update and get pissed things don't work like they should. And yes they should work, but I know things don't anyways go the way I want them to.
