OpenHab Designer help
« on: September 30, 2015, 11:31:18 am »
I realise that there are a number of OpenHab forums for requesting specific help, unfortunately, the posts I've made to those aren't generating any responses.

I've also had good experience on these forums in the past, so if anyone can help me out, it would be much appreciated:

I'm having trouble with OpenHab Designer; I'm getting a bunch of Java errors listed (red 'x's) in .rules files.

One of these was new, which meant I spent ages trying to figure it out. I then noticed that a working rules file exhibited the same problem.

I believe they're Java type issues, I don't know how to solve it, I've posted details to the community forum, but haven't had any luck. Hopefully someone here has seen this /  can help?

Many times, it's a syntax issue. It's possible one of your rules could be missing a quotation or bracket somewhere.

What is the error message which comes up when you hover over the red mark? That will usually provide a good clue.
