Linear FS20z to standard outlet
« on: October 20, 2015, 11:55:34 pm »
I have a spare Linear relay lying around and wanted to create a portable z wave outlet.  I realize there are inexpensive off-the-shelf solutions for this, but I wanted to make use of the relay.  Is this possible with a pc power cable and outlet?  Can I connect the blue load wires directly to either side of the outlet or am I missing something?  Thanks for any insight.

You can do this.

When wiring, one Blue goes to the Line/Black and the other Blue goes to the Line side of the receptacle. An additional White will be needed between the Neutral side of the receptacle and the Neutral bundle.

The Blue wires on the FS20Z-1 are the switched circuit. They are meant to break the Line to the receptacle, in your application.
