rabeliyo, give this thread a read:
http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,34480.0.html

Depending on your familiarity with Linux, you may want to wait for my write up which explains how to expand the storage capacity (using GParted) within OpenWRT. If these terms are familiar to you and you're comfortable doing this yourself then the link should get you going.

Let us know if you have any questions.

I try to install it in a OSMC distro (Kodi mediaplayer).
I don't know if someone has done.
I followed two different guides (official and linux_r02) and has not worked for me.
I'll try again the linux_r02 guide.

Thanks for the fast reply!!! ;D

Can you please explain the types of issues your encountering when using the guides (details please) ? This may help us identify what's going on.
Also, to my knowledge, I believe you might be the first to install OSMC although from what I've read it's based on Debian/Jessie etc...

The official is very poor instructions, i try with the linux_r02 guide, i install OSMC previously and enable ssh server.

I install all by remote ssh from putty.

I have this problems:

Step 9

Install luafilesystem, Build error:Failed compiling objetc src/lfs.o

Step 16

When i tey verify the engine and user data in the browser give me an page error "page unavailable", maybe  like error occurred in step 9?

Thanks!!!  :D

Can you try this for me please (I'm in unfamiliar territory)... Keep the details coming as they help (screen shots, copy and paste CLI results when trying to install a module etc.)

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install gcc

That's good news, I'll need to add that step in the guide for OSMC (sudo apt-get install gcc). Yes, this AltUI step takes quite a bit of time as it's loading all the necessary files. You will normally see multiple reloads and after 5 or so minutes you can then exit out of that process by performing a http://{your_ip}:3480/data_request?id=exit.

If you look at the file listings you should have something similar to this:
Code: [Select]

root@OpenWrt:/vera/cmh-ludl# ls -l *ALTUI*
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root          4728 Feb  8 20:55 D_ALTUI.json
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root          1086 Feb  8 20:55 D_ALTUI.xml

You can then move on to the next step...

Send me a PM with the startup.lua, paste it between code tags (# sign above)...  I'll see if I can spot any issues with it.

If this can help... I had same "no handler" issue until I installed a json converter (see http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,35914.msg266123.html#msg266123)... OpenLuup is a great project, but despite efforts from akbooer and others like cudanet, documentation is still a bit patchy

The log file is there to try and help diagnosis of the issues.  Has anyone looked at it?

As I've said elsewhere, it's hard to debug a system on any hardware platform and any operating system.  Vera is well and truly tied down in this respect.  It's a bit like the difference between Apple and Microsoft.

95% of the problems which arise are nothing to do with openLuup, per se, but simply with installing and configuring Lua, the port 80 HTTP server, and the requisite directory structure. It does, of course, also require some knowledge of Linux (or Windows.)

The remaining 5% revolve around unimplemented features, bugs in openLuup, or invalid assumptions about the environment made by plugins.  You shouldn't run into these until you start loading exotic plugins to your system, and we're slowly working through the issues.

Take a look at the log file.

----------

Edit: I can't believe I would ever have likened Vera to Apple!
