relays changed behavior
« on: November 22, 2016, 08:17:38 pm »
Hey Gang,

I have a gas fireplace that I have connected to a dry contact relay.  Historically, UI17 saw this as a light switch, and so did ImperiHome.

Sometime over the summer, something changed, and now this is seen as a relay, so it swapped the meaning of the light.  To turn on the fireplace, you switch off the light. Any time how I can reverse this and get back to the old behavior?

I noticed the same thing on the last firmware release. It swapped the meanings in Imperihome. I figured this is an imperihome issue but have not had time to really focus on it.

I entered a ticket with their support system.  I'll post here if I get a response.

If you press and hold the icon you can change the icon.
On the icon selection screen there will be a tick box top invert the icon animation

Agreed this is a work around which I did when the problem was first found after the previous firmware update.  The problem is that it only helps dashboard view. If you go in to list view, I do not think you can (or should) change the shown behavior.
