Scene to recalibrate Shutter 2-controlled blinds
« on: December 31, 2016, 06:13:37 pm »
I have 12 roller blinds controlled by Fibaro Shutter 2 modules. They work great apart from the fact that they need to be re-calibrated occasionally (ie, the blind will be fully open but the Shutter 2 module will say they are at 98% or 99%). I can manually force a re-calibration of each individual blind by flicking the switch into the up position three times for 3s but this gets a bit tiresome for multiple blinds. Ideally I'd like to have a scene that I manually trigger that contains some Lua/Luup code that forces all of the blinds to re-calibrate. Does anyone know how to do this?

I've found this in the manual:

Calibration through the Z-Wave network:
Set the parameter 29 value to 1
The device will perform the calibration process, completing full cycle ? up, down and up again
The parameter 29 value will be set to 0 automatically

I suspect I can just write a scene that contains some lua/luup code that changes the above parameter. Based on the following threads, it looks like I need to use the variable_set and reconfigure commands.

I'll give it a go.
