In that case I'll put the order in ASAP, maybe you can help expedite my order to get me in the first lot ;-)

So it looks like the Stereo Headphone Splitter I have should work.
I have plenty of USB-Mini USB cables in the junk drawer so I won't need one of them either

I also have spare 3-head emitter wires from my Harmony 890, will those work?  If they work it's even better since I won't have to rewire the emitters to my equipment, I can leave the Harmony wires in place and just plug it in to the Puck.

Can't guarantee. We throw a fair amount of current out the extender socket, and don't recommend using a single led emitter as it will probably burn out quickly. The exception being our blaster extender. Which is a high current ir led and is designed to take it.

In practice, almost all the different emitters actually use standard red LEDs.... The emission curve peaks at visible red, but has enough infra red when 1/4 inch away from the detector to be picked up.

The big difference in the different emitters is build quality and led component quality...

Does that mean your emitters don't glow red when emitting?  The 2-head emitters that came with my harmony don't glow when emitting - which is really nice.

The emitters do. The blaster doesn't...

Just Ordered Mine, news of the emitters being more powerful is giving me hope that it'll work better with my wonky SageTV IR receiver.  Sadly, the SageTV was not in the DB and I'll have to get the puck to learn all the codes.

I will be interested in how the learning goes. I am not familiar with SageTV so if you have any issues please feel free to connect with me directly.

Will the Puck work with the Harmony PS3 adapter? This PS3 adapter works very well, but I fear it will only work with Harmony remotes.

It's in the pucks database so I don't see why not!

The only issue I see is getting the power off command to work right out of the box. When I set up my nevo, I had to create a macro that added a delay or two and a couple commands to the stock power off command. Should be the same here.

Was about to order but, as mentioned above, no shipping to Canada.

When do you think you'll be able to accept orders from the Great North?

Mike

We are checking on what regulatory hoops we have to jump through... Sign up in the international section of our site to receive notification when we are able to ship...

Thanks Mat, I signed up.

In the meantime, I've upgraded to the full version of SQ Remote and I am very pleased. Works great on my iPad and iPod Touch!

Mike.
... not using VERA anymore.

Glad you like it!

On shipping to places other than thew US. Canada approval and certification looks like will be done before the end of this month. We are still looking at Europe. Much more complex and expensive....

We support macros in the latest SQRemote, so should be able to set up any sequence and timing .

Let me know what works and doesn't work. If the built in does don't work correctly, I would like to record them and make sure they replay correctly.

Hi Mike... and anyone else in the Great North that is interested. We have confirmed that the EMR certification of the SQ Blaster also covers Canada, so we are now able to accept orders from Canada.  We have made the changes on Amazon, but this might take a few hours to come live.
