inet.wget broken?
« on: March 23, 2017, 01:11:29 am »
I'm running the following code after a scene:

Code: [Select]
local status, result = luup.inet.wget('http://10.0.2.1/device/2/events/new?label=:open', 5, 'my_name', 'secret_password')

The last two parameters are supposed to be HTTP Basic Auth username and password, per http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_Lua_extensions#function:_wget

In my old Vera Lite running UI5, I could run that code, and it worked, perfectly.  But now that I'm using a brand-new Vera Pro running UI7, the wget method no longer sends basic auth.  It still accepts the parameters, and it sends off the HTTP request, but does not include an HTTP_AUTHORIZATION header.

Has anybody else run into this, or found a workaround?  How can I make an http request in LUUP using basic auth, that actually works?
