Vision Security Vision ZG8101 reversed warnings
« on: July 10, 2017, 03:01:19 am »
Good day,

Vera Edge UI7, firmware 1.7.2931,

I bought a Vision ZG8101, added it without any problems to the system. Only thing is, it shows as opened when the garage door is closed, and closed, when the door is open..... Any way to reverse the signal? It is attached, as mentioned in the manual, in vertical position against the garage door, the only way how the attach it btw.....

I can not find any info on the variables etc.....

Thks

Eric

Hello Eric,

You can go to the advanced settings of the device and add the following variable.

service:   urn:micasaverde-com:serviceId:HaDevice1
variable:  ReverseOnOff
value: 1

You might need to manually wake up the sensor after doing this.

.... some feedback: Your addition worked like a charm! It just didn't work, until I checked something stupid..... Let me explain:

The stupidity was totally mine. I had put the sensor upside down, which rendered the device useless. The sensor inside could not change state because of this.

After I reinstalled the thing with the other side up, it started working. After some time however, it started to show up as open when closed, en closed when open. ....... which was normal.... since I reversed the warnings.....

Now I need to get rid of the addition.... anyway, thks for the good advice!

Eric
