D-Link DCH-Z510 siren doesn't sound alarm?
« on: July 16, 2017, 01:07:49 pm »
Hi!

I have a D-Link DCH-Z510 siren (http://www.dlink.com/se/sv/products/dch-z510-mydlink-home-siren). The device is added to my Vera and is shown as a switch (and a motion sensor).

If I switch on the device I just get a short beep. I have successfully learned how to send luup requests to trigger different alarm sounds so I know the device is able to sound like a proper siren. It is, however, tedious to use scenes to trigger the device. I want to use it like my other sirens, just switch it on to sound alarm.

Is it possible to change the behaviour of the device so it sounds a proper alarm signal when the device is switched on? I can't find any variable in the manual (http://products.z-wavealliance.org/ProductManual/File?folder=&filename=Manuals/1262/DCH-Z510_Manual.pdf).
