control AC SPlit with a NEST thermostat
« on: July 29, 2017, 01:34:36 pm »
Hi, i would like to control a AC Split with the NEST thermostat

my idea is to use a remotec zxt-120 to control the AC with IR commands how ever i would like to use it with Nest along with the sistem

the whole idea is to change the temperture of the AC split every time i change the temperture on the nest

i know i can make an escene on the vera controller to make the nest turn on the AC, when nest is on COOL, how ever i would like to change the temperture of the AC every time i change the NEST set point temperature, is this possible making a scene using LuA?

regards

You could do this with PLEG... bind a variable to the setpoint.

Then a condition whose expression is just this variable.
The action would be to send a command with the value of the variable.

I have already done many examples synchronizing lights and thermostats ... search the forums.
